Author's Blog

Peter's RV waking up along the California coastPeter Shikli, the author, came home from Africa and blended into American life for many years. But now that he's old, he's cut loose again. He rented out his house, bought a motorhome (RV), tricked it out to be his rolling internet office, and is putting in a few more years on the road.

"When I traveled Africa, I was a leaf in the wind," says Peter. "If it rained. I got wet. Now, I feel I'm piloting a spaceship with so many life support systems that have to keep working. But if it rains, I'm dry and warm behind a cup of hot chocolate."

This blog collects Peter's pictures, observations, and tips for people who want to live and work out of their RV -- particularly for writers, photographers, and geeks like him. There will be no memoir drivel about what he had for lunch, only what is useful and hopefully even inspiring.
